Mutants

pinkytheent As others note, this album well and truly fucks. More ripping than a car careening down the desert highway and more attitude than the ghost pepper in my dinner. They really master the art of brainy noodley licks driven forward at maximum speed by 600 horsepower rock and punk rhythms. A truly powerful power trio: every instrument (including vocals!) are just totally firing on every cylinder. This is rock solid songwriting: it just grabs you immediately and hauls you from song to song. Favorite track: Setting Sun.

Grégoire Guery Saw they were playing in my town soon. The name rang a bell "oh yeah they are the guys from 2 minutes to late night:".
Listened to this album, bought the discography instantly. And I'm going to see them sunday, yay! Favorite track: Call of the Void.

Gone Gone inside a wind Where there once was eyes Now there’s empty holes Hell Hell resides within Looking to surprise All the helpless souls We must avoid Call of the void Calling out to us We must avoid Call of the void Turning us to dust Close Close up to the blast Hang onto your heads It’s a real shitshow Pain Pain is here at last Time to take your meds Moving on we go We must avoid Call of the void Calling out to us We must avoid Call of the void Turning us to dust Hurry up and die This is just another lie Hell awaits you now All that I believe is how We must avoid Call of the void Calling out to us We must avoid Call of the void Turning us to dust

I don’t wanna know Anyone right now Cause I would probably go Anywhere right now Down into impossible Deadly inexhaustible Rabbit holes, rabid souls Digging through my dirt Fog around my head That’s the way it starts Break the ice, getting warm In our frozen hearts I don’t wanna go Anywhere right now Cause I would probably do Anything right now Steal some drugs, sleep no more Fucking the ones I adore Over the edge, watch it soar Me and all my hurt Fog around my head That’s the way it starts Break the ice, getting warm In our frozen hearts

So much potential Waiting on the other side Crisis existential That’s just my goddamn pride Lord knows I’ve tried To break a glass ceiling My brain is fried And my head is reeling I gotta beat this thing To be free at last I’m gonna break something It’s my time to pass Free Free at least Time to pass Broken glass ceiling Oh won’t you help me Help me get my shit together Then you can tell me All about the fucking weather I’ve seen it rain Down on a glass ceiling Show me the pain It’s only a wet feeling I gotta beat this thing To be free at last I’m gonna break something It’s my time to pass Free Free at least Time to pass Broken glass ceiling Broken Broken Glass Broken Glass Ceiling

Siren Song 03:33
Sirens they sing Their song at night Heartstrings recoil Then coil tight What they say is real What they say is true Now listen to you Singing the siren song Kill a hundred lives Tell a thousand lies Marry a million wives Singing the siren song Sirens they sing Their song at night Heartstrings recoil Then coil tight Black clouds rolling Something ain’t right Sirens they say Go towards the light Running from their light Sing this song, you might

I’m in love with my gravedigger I said hey, make that hole bigger I think she loves me not She’d rather watch me rot Between me and you Who’s gonna bury who? Graveyard love Graveyard love I’m in love with my gravekeeper I said hey, dig that hole deeper I’m in a casket now Don’t even ask me how Everyone can see She fucking buried me Oh baby we’re not down Until we’re underground Graveyard love Graveyard love

Unborn 04:44
Watching sunsets explode Empty houses, end of the road Former lives fresh in mind Can’t live unborn inside Breaking this womb Leaving this tomb Breaking this womb Leaving this tomb Can’t live Unborn inside Can’t live Unborn inside Kiss the grass where it lays Wipe the dirt off of your face Master class in ways to cry Can’t live unborn inside Breaking this womb Leaving this tomb Breaking this womb Leaving this tomb Can’t live Unborn inside Can’t live Unborn inside

Siphon 03:03
Led to the slaughter I knew that I’d fall Just like a martyr My head on the wall I gave it all Chasing a wasted waterfall I relinquish All control Bleed my body Drain my soul Siphon Blood from a stone Siphon Blood from a stone Sleepless and spellbound Such strange magic tricks Riding the hellhound With stains on its lips Oh shit, what’s this? An alcohol apocalypse Taste of poison in the well With a little slice of hell Pick up pieces where they fell Write that story, make it sell Siphon Blood from a stone Siphon Blood from a stone

Demons 02:47
I got demons Under control They have heart But I’ve got heart and soul Wearing you down Wearing you just like a crown Wearing in time Where’s my mind Cast my demons Down in a hole In the shadows Where it all unfolds Demons will do What they got to do Goddamn demons Takin a toll on you Lie awakened Shaken from my sleep Poisoned by a dream Push comes to shove Fall out of love Flat on your face I know my place Now that I got demons Under control They have heart But I’ve got heart and soul I got demons Under control I got demons Under control

Memory Hole 04:02
Ones and zeros disappear Nineteen eighty-four is here Recidivist mystery Revisionist history Here’s another picture to burn Some people will never learn Smoldering piece of coal Welcome to the memory hole Gone into a memory hole Yesterday disposed Gone into a memory hole Yesterday no one’s gonna know Ones and zeros disappear Nineteen eighty-four is here Wolves are gonna eat your soul Welcome to the memory hole Recidivist mystery Revisionist history

Setting Sun 05:44
Chasing a beacon of light A ball of fire so bright It’s burning out of spite And sinking into the night I’m like a setting sun The sun waits for no one It’s going down in my mind Baby we don’t have much time ‘cause I’m like a setting sun The shadows are heavy and long Before the golden hour is gone I’m like a setting sun The sun waits for no one It’s going down in my mind Baby we don’t have much time ‘cause I’m like a setting sun How can this carry on? Will I see you at dawn? I’m like a setting sun The sun waits for no one It’s going down in my mind Baby we don’t have much time ‘cause I’m like a setting sun
